The Pacific Island Countries Trade Agreement is an agreement between Forum Island Countries to eliminate import duties on most goods by 2021. Until then, import duties will gradually be reduced by parties to the agreement. By March 2008, six countries had announced that they were ready to trade under PICTA:

The original PICTA only covers trade in goods. However, Forum Island Countries are currently negotiating a new protocol to cover trade in services.
